Day 125 Psalms 1-2, 15, 22-24, 47, 68
Welcome to Day 125! Today is like a "Greatest Hits" album of the Bible. These songs show us God's big plan to send Jesus and how we fit into His world.
Psalm 1
There are only two ways to live: God’s way or the world's way. If you love God's Word and think about it all the time, you’re like a strong tree with deep roots. If you ignore God, you're like dry chaff that blows away in the wind.
Our Role: Choose the right path by staying close to God's Word.
Psalm 2
This is a song for a King. The world tries to rebel against God, but God just laughs because He is in total control. He promises to put His Son (Jesus) on the throne to rule the whole earth.
God’s Character: He is the King over all kings, and His plans can’t be stopped.
Psalm 15
This psalm asks: "Who can hang out with God?" The answer isn't about being perfect; it's about integrity. God wants people who are honest, keep their promises even when it’s hard, and treat others fairly.
Jesus Connection: Jesus is the only one who did this perfectly so we could be invited in.
Psalms 22, 23, and 24
These three work together to tell the story of Jesus:
- Psalm 22 (The Cross): It describes someone suffering and feeling alone, but still trusting God. Jesus quoted this while on the cross.
- Psalm 23 (The Shepherd): God is our Great Shepherd. He leads us, feeds us, and protects us—even when things are scary.
- Psalm 24 (The King): This is the celebration! Jesus is the "King of Glory" who wins the battle and enters the gates of heaven in triumph.
Psalms 47 and 68
These are "Victory Songs." They describe God marching out to save His people and defeat His enemies. They remind us that God cares for the weak and lonely, but He is also a powerful warrior who rides through the clouds.
God’s Promise: He will always win in the end, and He will take care of His family.
