Day 100 1 Samuel 9-12

Welcome to Day 100. Samuel finds a young man named Saul. He's tall, handsome, and from a prominent family. Samuel anoints him privately, telling him God has chosen him to be king.

At first, Saul is humble. "I'm from the smallest tribe, the least family," he says. He hides when his selection is announced publicly. He's not eager for power.

But then Samuel gathers all Israel and presents Saul as king. The people shout, "Long live the king!"

Samuel's role shifts. He's no longer the primary leader. He's the prophet who speaks God's truth to the king. It's a new era.

Samuel also warns Saul to keep God's commands. Obey His voice. Reject Him, and He'll reject you. The kingship isn't a guarantee. It comes with responsibility.

The Heartbeat: God establishes authority and leadership. Kings' answer to God, not to themselves. Power is a responsibility, not a right. Leaders are accountable to God first.

Before Heart Dive

Our Foundation: In 2023, Kanoe took the first dive. It began as a raw, real-time experimental Bible study in consistency; a commitment to walk through the Word chronologically and see what happened when we showed up for God every day.

This was where Heart Dive was birthed, not as a ministry but as a personal call to obedience. Kanoe didn't intend for it to catch fire and grow beyond her "junk journaling" of #NOTESandHUES.

Yet it was there that she found her rhythm, testing the waters of daily video commentary and discovering a community of "Heart Divers" hungry for more than a surface-level reading.

These early reflections may contain doctrinal or technical errors. We ask for your grace as you listen, and always encourage you to study the Word for yourself.
