Day 094 Judges 13-15
Welcome to Day 094. Samson is chosen by God from birth. He's given supernatural strength. He's meant to deliver Israel from the Philistines.
But Samson struggles with lust. He pursues women he shouldn't. He makes foolish choices driven by his desires. And despite his incredible power, he's enslaved by his passions.
The irony is crushing since a man with the strength to kill a lion with his bare hands is powerless against his own desires.
Samson wins battles against the Philistines, but he's losing the war within himself. His strength is real. So is his weakness. And the weakness is winning.
The Heartbeat: God's calling and gifting don't guarantee faithfulness. Power without self-control becomes a trap. God gives us strength, yes, but we're responsible for stewarding it wisely and keeping our hearts aligned with His purposes.
Heart-Check: Where are you strong but struggling? What desires are binding you despite your spiritual gifts?
