Day 088 Joshua 22-24
Welcome to Day 088. Joshua is old. He's led Israel into the Promised Land. He's seen God's faithfulness over and over. And now he gathers everyone for one last moment.
He reminds them of everything God has done. He takes them on a journey through their history: "Remember when God called Abraham? Remember Egypt? Remember the Red Sea? Remember the wilderness? Remember Jericho? Remember all of it."
Then he asks them to choose. "Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
The people respond enthusiastically. They commit. They promise to serve God.
But Joshua warns them that if they forget what He's done, they'll lose their way. Remembering isn't optional. It's essential.
Later, Joshua sets up a stone as a memorial. It's a witness to the covenant. A physical reminder that "This matters. Don't forget."
The Heartbeat: God's faithfulness in the past is the foundation for obedience in the present. When we remember what He's done, we find the courage to trust Him again.
Heart-Check: What has God done in your life that you need to remember today? How does remembering that strengthen your commitment to follow Him?
