Day 086 Joshua 16-18
Welcome to Day 086. We see that not all the tribes are fully taking possession of their land. The Canaanites are still there. Instead of driving them out, some tribes decide to make them servants. It's easier. They don't have to fight. They just have to manage the people they conquered.
Joshua calls them out. Essentially, he says, "Why are you satisfied with less than what God promised you? Go take it."
There's a lesson here. God gives us promises. He gives us territory... spiritually speaking. But we have to claim it. We can't be passive. We can't settle for "good enough." We have to move forward and take what's ours.
Some of the tribes eventually do. Some don't. And later in history, those who didn't fully claim their land end up struggling most.
The Heartbeat: God gives us promises and purposes, but we have to actively step into them. Passivity and complacency cost us. Taking hold of what God has given requires courage and action.
Heart-Check: Where is God calling you to be bolder in claiming what He's promised? What would it look like to fully possess it?
