Day 118 Psalms 81, 88, 92-93

Welcome to Day 118. Psalm 81 starts with a bold invitation from God: "I am the Lord your God... Open wide your mouth and I will fill it."

Think of this as God setting the table for us. He’s promising to provide and show up, but He’s also asking for our undivided attention. He reminds us that while He loves the sound of our celebration and music, He cares much more about whether we are actually listening to His heart. It’s a call to move past the "noise" of religion and get back to a real connection with Him.

Psalm 88 shifts the mood entirely! It’s heavy, raw, and doesn’t have a happy ending. If you’ve ever felt like God was silent while you were drowning in a dark season, this psalm is for you. It proves that God isn't intimidated by our "unfiltered" pain. You don’t have to have it all together to talk to Him; He can handle your frustrations and your "why?" without judgment.

Psalm 92 brings us back to the big picture. It’s a reminder that even when it looks like people doing the wrong thing are "winning," their success is a flash in the pan. Staying grounded in what’s right might feel slow, but it’s the only way to actually flourish in the long run. It’s an invitation to hit the brakes, rest, and remember who’s actually in charge.

Psalm 93 closes us out with a visual of God’s authority. Using the image of crashing, chaotic ocean waves, something that would have been terrifying to people back then, the psalmist reminds us that God is steadier and stronger than the loudest storm in your life.

The Heartbeat: Our relationship with God doesn't have to be performative. Whether you’re shouting for joy, grieving in the dark, or just trying to keep your head above water, God’s position as King doesn't change. He’s solid, even when we feel shaky.

Heart-Check: Are you being honest with God about where you’re really at today? Do you feel like you have to "fix" your mood before you pray, or can you trust Him with the mess?

Before Heart Dive

Our Foundation: In 2023, Kanoe took the first dive. It began as a raw, real-time experimental Bible study in consistency; a commitment to walk through the Word chronologically and see what happened when we showed up for God every day.

This was where Heart Dive was birthed, not as a ministry but as a personal call to obedience. Kanoe didn't intend for it to catch fire and grow beyond her "junk journaling" of #NOTESandHUES.

Yet it was there that she found her rhythm, testing the waters of daily video commentary and discovering a community of "Heart Divers" hungry for more than a surface-level reading.

These early reflections may contain doctrinal or technical errors. We ask for your grace as you listen, and always encourage you to study the Word for yourself.

Phase 3: From Knowledge to Action


Phases 1 and 2 have filled your head with God's truth. Phase 3 is about filling your heart and hands. The Heart Work PDFs aren't just for reflection. They're invitations to transformation.


Now it's time to get real. Share your heart with others. Iron sharpens iron, and community accelerates growth. Phase 3 challenges you in three ways:

  • Personal Obedience (what is God asking you to change?),
  • Relational Grace (who needs your forgiveness or encouragement?)
  • Missional Movement (where is God asking you to step out in faith?).


This is faith in action—head knowledge becoming lived reality.
