Day 021 Genesis 27-29
Welcome to Day 021. Jacob, with his mother’s help, deceives Isaac and steals Esau’s blessing. It’s a messy, manipulative act. And it backfires. Jacob has to flee for his life.
But on his journey, at Bethel, Jacob encounters God in a dream. God confirms the very blessing Jacob tried to steal—but this time, it’s given freely, not taken through deception.
Jacob learns a crucial lesson: God’s blessings can’t be manipulated or earned through scheming. They’re given by grace.
The Heartbeat: God’s purposes will come to pass, but not through our manipulation or deception. He redirects even our misguided steps toward His ultimate plan. His gifts are given freely to those who trust Him.
Heart-Check: Where have you tried to force God’s will instead of trusting His timing? What would surrender to His plan look like?
