Day 098 1 Samuel 1-3

Welcome to Day 098. Hannah is barren. For years, she has longed for a child. She prays desperately, making a vow to God: "If you give me a son, I will dedicate him to you."

God answers. Samuel was born. Hannah keeps her promise. She brings young Samuel to the Tabernacle to serve under the priest Eli.

One night, Samuel hears a voice calling his name. He thinks it's Eli. He runs to him. "Here I am." But Eli didn't call him.

It happens again. And again. Finally, Eli realizes: God is calling Samuel. Eli instructs Samuel to say, "Speak, Lord, your servant is listening."

And God speaks. God gives Samuel a message about Eli's family. One of judgment is coming because Eli's sons are wicked and he hasn't disciplined them.

Samuel grows up as God's prophet. He becomes the bridge between the age of judges and the age of kings. He's young, but God trusts him with truth.

The Heartbeat: God speaks to the humble and the young. He doesn't need experience or credentials. He needs a willing heart that listens. God calls and equips those who respond.

Before Heart Dive

Our Foundation: In 2023, Kanoe took the first dive. It began as a raw, real-time experimental Bible study in consistency; a commitment to walk through the Word chronologically and see what happened when we showed up for God every day.

This was where Heart Dive was birthed, not as a ministry but as a personal call to obedience. Kanoe didn't intend for it to catch fire and grow beyond her "junk journaling" of #NOTESandHUES.

Yet it was there that she found her rhythm, testing the waters of daily video commentary and discovering a community of "Heart Divers" hungry for more than a surface-level reading.

These early reflections may contain doctrinal or technical errors. We ask for your grace as you listen, and always encourage you to study the Word for yourself.
