Day 084 Joshua 9-11
Welcome to Day 084. Joshua is on a roll. Cities are falling. Israel is winning. But then the Gibeonites trick him.
They come to Joshua and say they're from so far away that Israel shouldn't attack them. Joshua believes them without asking God. He makes a peace treaty with them.
But it was a trick. The Gibeonites were neighbors—people Israel was supposed to drive out.
Joshua is angry. He's been deceived. But he's made a covenant, and he keeps it. He doesn't destroy them, even though they tricked him.
Then Joshua continues conquering the land. He defeats king after king. The victories pile up. But notice: not all of them involve miracles like the one at Jericho. Some are straightforward military victories. Some require strategy and planning.
The point is God works in different ways. Sometimes He parts seas. Sometimes He collapses walls with trumpets. Sometimes He just gives you victory through skill and strength. The method changes, but God's faithfulness is constant.
The Heartbeat: God works in different ways for different situations. He doesn't need to perform a miracle every time to accomplish His purposes. He's as present in the ordinary as in the extraordinary.
Heart-Check: Where in your life are you waiting for a dramatic miracle when God might be inviting you to step forward in faith with what you already have?
