Day 075 Deuteronomy 14-16
Welcome to Day 075. God is giving practical instructions about food, money, and celebration. It might seem random, but there's a pattern. God cares about how you live every single day.
The laws about clean and unclean animals aren't just about what you eat. They're about making choices that set you apart. Every time an Israelite chose not to eat something forbidden, they were choosing obedience. They were saying, "I belong to God, and I'm going to live differently."
Then comes the tithe. God asks His people to give back a portion of what they've been given. It's not about the money. It's about trust. When you tithe, you're saying, "God, I trust You to provide for me even when I give this away."
Finally, God establishes festivals—times to celebrate and remember His faithfulness together as a community. Life isn't all work and obedience. There's joy. There's celebration. There's gathering together.
The Heartbeat: God cares about your whole life, not just your prayers or worship, but how you spend your money, what you eat, and whether you make time to celebrate His goodness. Holiness isn't something you put on for church; it's woven into everyday choices.
Heart-Check: In your daily decisions about money, food, time, and celebration, are you choosing in a way that shows you belong to God?
