Day 042 Exodus 36-38
Welcome to Day 042. Now Israel actually builds the Tabernacle. God has given the plans; now His people execute them.
What's beautiful is the collaboration. People with different skills, such as metalworkers, woodworkers, weavers, and stonecutters, work together. Some have more resources to give; others have skills to offer. Everyone contributes.
The work is meticulous. Bezalel and Oholiab are called out for their special wisdom and skill in this work. God empowers people with creativity and craftsmanship to accomplish His purposes.
There's no resentment, no comparison. The text keeps saying people gave "willingly" and "generously." They're building something sacred together, and that shared purpose unites them.
The Heartbeat: God accomplishes His purposes through willing, skilled people working together. He doesn't need the wealthy or the famous. He uses those with willing hearts and diverse gifts. When we work together toward God's purposes, something sacred happens.
Heart-Check: What are you building for God? Who are you building with? How can you offer your skills and resources willingly?
