Day 005 Job 6-9
Welcome to Day 005 Job 6-9, where we continue our journey through the earliest chapters of human history. Today, we are sitting with Job in the midst of his deepest pain as he responds to his friends and cries out to God. If you’re wondering why we are still in Job instead of Genesis, it’s because we are following a chronological path. We’re reading the Bible in the order that the events actually happened, and most believe Job lived during the same time as Abraham.
In these chapters, Job is struggling with the “why” behind his suffering. He is looking for a Heartbeat of God in the middle of a dark season where God’s hand feels heavy.
The Cry for a Mediator: In Job 9, we see Job longing for someone to stand between him and God. This is a beautiful “shadow” of Jesus, our second Adam, who does exactly that for us today.
Heart-Check: Have you ever felt like you needed someone to speak to God on your behalf? Take a deep breath and remember: you aren’t behind, and you aren’t alone.
