Why study the Bible in one year?

Studying the Bible in a year isn’t mandatory, yet it offers valuable benefits. While it’s not a requirement, committing to this journey provides a structured approach, fostering discipline and consistency in exploring God’s Word. Additionally, joining others on this path creates a supportive community, offering encouragement and accountability throughout the transformative process.

Again, it ISN’T necessary. Go at your own speed.

What is the difference between a Chronological reading plan vs reading the Bible front to back?

Studying the Bible as a complete narrative in order allows us to comprehend God’s unfolding story for humanity, revealing His consistent love and purpose. This approach helps us see the connections between passages, fostering a deeper understanding of His teachings and guidance.

In Romans 15:4, Scripture emphasizes that the past writings aim to teach and encourage us, nurturing hope through endurance and the wisdom found in the Scriptures.

KEY POINT: The Bible is not written in strict chronological order from beginning to end. It’s a collection of books that vary in their timelines and writing styles, ranging from historical accounts, poetry, letters, and prophetic visions. While some sections follow a chronological sequence, others present themes or lessons, resulting in a non-linear structure. Reading the Bible in its entirety provides a comprehensive view of biblical history and teachings, but it may require supplementary resources or specific study guides to follow a strict chronological order.

What are your suggestions for inviting others to the Facebook group?

We are thrilled you want to share the group with your friends and family!

We just want you to be aware of two things:

    1. Mass invitations sometimes come as a surprise to the people who are invited. They may not even notice they have been invited to a group until they are accepted into the group and may not appreciate being admitted into a group they never asked to join. So if you do a mass invitation, please be sure to alert the people that you are doing so and why.
    2. Should you choose to invite others to the group, please be sure to inform them that this group requires the completion of our 2-question form for admittance. In order to curtail the possible admittance of spammers, anyone who does not complete the form, will automatically be denied. However, they will be told why they were not accepted and are allowed to re-submit their request after completing the form.

Does Kanoe use a color coding system in her notes?

Nope! We know her Bible can rival any rainbow, but Kanoe’s system is simply making sure her notes correlate with the verse highlighted. You are free to devise your own system.

How do I find Kanoe’s notes?

As you study, you’re going to want to take notes. But please know that you do not have to do your notes EXACTLY the way Kanoe does.

You can absolutely create your own method! Kanoe is here to help get you started, but if you do think her notes will be helpful to you too, there are two places to locate them:

  1. For videos from 2023, you can view them as a Google doc link in the description of each video. (NOTE: You may need to download the Google Docs app or use a desktop browser. Notes will appear blurry on phones. If it still won’t open in Google docs, make sure you are not in the YouTube app but in a browser version.)
  2. INSIDE the Facebook Group! We have all the notes from 2023 as images and pdfs! Click here to join the free Facebook Group. As images in the Albums section of the Bible Study with Kanoe (formerly Notes and Hues) Facebook group. Each book of the Bible is in the album and the
notes correspond to the album. Inside the album, you can make comments on the images if there is some helpful bit of study information you would like to leave there to help someone else. The PDFs (printable versions) are in the Files section of the Facebook group.

YES! Join the Facebook Group. Free for all with LIVE virtual discussion groups.

This is a completely volunteer led endeavor available inside the Facebook group for those who desire to grow deeper. Kanoe doesn’t manage these discussion groups.

However, she does encourage others to meet up organically in-person or virtually for fellowship and discipleship.
